摘要：

BeiDou Navigation Satellite System is independently developed regional satellite navigation system by China,which has communication capability.BeiDou's wide coverage and good security performance can assure reliable transmission of text information of military intelligence data,equipment data and so on over long distances.Because of small transmission bandwidth of"BeiDou",Huffman data compression is used for lossless compression of text messages with improving communication efficiency.The paper mainly introduces the principle of Huffman data compression technology and the application of"BeiDou"on data communication.
