Free-radical transannular cycloadditions to cis-cis-1,5-cyclooctadiene
摘要：
Carbon tetrachloride, chloroform, N,N-dimethylformamide, N-t-butylformamide, acetaldehyde, butyraldehyde, butyrolactone, etc. react with cis- cis-1,5-cyclooctadiene in a free-radical transannular 1,5,-cycloaddition to give derivatives of bicyclo[3.3.0]octane. Various transformations of the adducts as well as the proof of their structure are described.
