Platinum-mediated coupling of methane and small nucleophiles (H2O, PH3, H2S, CH3NH2) as a model for C-N, C-O, C-P, and C-S bond formation in the gas phase
摘要:
The reactions of Ptand PtCHwith the nucleophiles HO, PH, HS, HCl, CHNH, and CHOH are studied by Fourier transform-ion cyclotron resonance (FT-ICR) mass spectrometry. In the reactions of PtCH, carbonheteroatom bond formation can be accomplished for all substrates except CHOH and HCl. The reaction of PtCHwith two molecules of water yields Pt(CO)(HO)and constitutes a gas-phase model for the platinum-mediated generation of water gas according to CH+ HO→ CO + 3H. In the reactions with PHand HS, carbonphosphorus and carbonsulfur bond formation to PtCPHand PtCScompetes with demethanation and dehydrogenation of the substrates to yield PtS(= 14) and PtPH(= 16; = 03) compounds, respectively. For organic nucleophiles such as CHNHand CHOH, CN and CO coupling is much less efficient than platinum-mediated CH bond activation of the substrates.
