Voltammetric behaviour of dopamine at nickel phthalocyanine polymer modified electrodes and analytical applications

The voltammetric behaviour of dopamine at electropolymerized tetraaminophthalo-cyanatonickel(II) ( p -NiTAPc) film coated electrodes was studied by cyclic voltammetry. The chemically modified electrodes exhibit an electrocatalytic effect on dopamine oxidation. The interference from ascorbic acid can be eliminated by additionally covering a layer of Nafion on the modified electrodes. The oxidation current increased linearly with the concentration of dopamine in the range of 2×10 7 –2×10 5 M. The detection limit was 9×10 8 M. The proposed method exhibited good recovery and reproducibility.
