摘要：

The paper introduces the technical characteristics,development process and applications of BD-1 and BD-2 navigation systems.According to the oceangoing vessel's requirement on sea navigation,timing and emergency communication,aimed at the limitation of present GPS system which is used on the vessels,the paper puts forward the assumption that BDsat system can be applied on oceangoing vessels.The BDsat system can provide the service of navigation,accurate timing and short meassage communication,which can satisfy the need of oceangoing vessels.Finally,the paper discusses the necessity and feasibility of applying BDsat system on oceangoing vessels.
