摘要:

Criticizes the human potential movement for being based on self-actualization from within, as though humans existed in a social vacuum unaffected by daily life in a modern capitalistic society. The ideas of A. Maslow (1954, 1962, 1965), who is viewed as laying the intellectual foundation for the human potential movement, are summarized. It is claimed that the false premises of this movement lead to false promises and that a radical therapy based on the psychopolitics of everyday life is necessary to develop an understanding of the relationship between consciousness and social context.
