SYNTHESIS OF POLYETHER-CONTAINING AMINOPOLYSILOXANE FABRIC SOFTENER

Using α,ω-dihydroxydimethylpolysiloxane(WS-62M),N-β-aminoethyl-γ-aminopropyltrime- thoxysilane(SG-Si900)and glycidyl polyoxyethylene methyl ether as starting materials,polyether-con- taining aminopolysiloxane fabric softener that can impart good soft handle,whiteness and wettability power to fabrics,was synthesized by ester interchange and ring-opening reactions.The aminopolysi- loxane with regular distribution of amino groups in the molecule was synthesized under the conditions that the molar ratio of WS-62M to SG-Si900 was 1.33:1,the mass ratio of triethylamine was 1.53%,reaction temperature was 120 ℃,reaction time was 10 h,and vacuum time under a pressure of 0.01 MPa was 0.5~1 h.The optimum reaction conditions of polyether-containing aminopolysilox- ane were obtained as follows:the molar ratio of glycidyl polyoxyethylene methyl ether to aminopolysi- loxane 7.2:1,the mass ratio of isopropanol to glycidyl polyoxyethylene methyl ether and aminopol- ysiloxane 1:1,reaction temperature 80℃,reaction time 5 h.
