The invention relates to oxidative colouring agents for colouring keratin fibres, in particular human hair, which contain, in a medium suitable for colouring, (a) at least one m-phenylenediamine derivative of formula (I), as coupling component, where R = a branched or unbranched C1- to C8-alkyl group and R = a branched or unbranched C1 to C8 alkyl group or a phenyl group, optionally substituted by one or several C1 to C4 alkyl group(s) or, by one or several halogen atom(s), or a physiologically acceptable salt thereof; and (b) a combination of at least two developer components selected from p-phenylendiamine derivatives, p-aminophenol derivatives, binuclear developer components and/or pyrazole derivatives. According to the invention, the disclosed colouring agents are characterised by the excellent colouring properties thereof.
