摘要：

Functional gradient material(FGM)is a new kind of nonhomogeneous composite.According to the design concept of FGM,its chemical composition,microstructure and atomic order vary gradently and continuously from one side to another,therefore its propery and funtion vary gradully along the line of thickness.The concept and preparation of functionally gradient material are introduced The research development on FGM is disscussed and the propspects of FGM are presented.
