摘要：

Idiopathic scoliosis generates complex deformation on spinal column and rib-cage. The clinicians used 2D Cobb angle calculated from X-ray images to assess the severity of spine deformation. In this paper, the evaluation of spinal column posture is made with the 3D Measurement Ultrasound Module. It is assumed that every vertebra is associated with a precision point. The coordinates of the points allow the determination of the parameters of spinal column position and orientation. The paper propose a new method for establishing the position and orientation matrix of spinal column and the correction matrix of spinal column resulted from medical therapy. Treatment efficiency and the correction of the spine posture can be evaluated. Key words: spine, idiopathic, scoliosis, correction, matrix.
