ORG NC45 given to three patients with pheochromocytomas caused small increases in plasma catecholamine concentrations but produced no change in any measured cardiovascular variables. These observations, added to the theoretical advantages of ORG NC45 of having little or no cardiovascular effects, indicate that it may be the appropriate neuromuscular blocking drug for use in patients with pheochromocytoma.
