Some stores are highly efficient and sophisticated and their little black book is their computer system, some still prefer a pencil and paper approach. So be it, whatever is comfortable to you, just do something about keeping records, if not on a daily basis then at least for special events and the major holidays. We are now in the midst of our busiest time of year, Christmas and Valentine's Day are behind us and Easter, Passover, Secretaries Day and Mother's Day are still to come. It has never been more important to know exactly whathappened last year with regard to sales figures, quantities bought and sold, even weather conditions. But do you remember? Of course not. If you have seen more than a couple of Valentine's Days they all become a total blur.
