摘要：

The cationic monomers, acrylamide, acrylic acid,acrylonitrile were used for the quaternary copolymerization at 80 ℃ for 2 h in the aqueous medium. The emulsion copolymerization was carried out with the initiation of (NH_4)S_2O_8 and the poly(vinyl alcohol) as the dispersing agent and stabilizing agent. The copolymer emulsions are suitable for use in paper making processes, which produces excellent strengthing effect, especially for the circular exponential, and which is well dispersed in water with the pH of (2.0)～(5.0) and viscosity of 700 mPa·s～1500 mPa·s and the Zeta values of 20 mV～40 mV. The structure and properties of the dry strength agents were characterized by the methods of FT-IR, DSC and so on. Also the grafted copolymer of AM, AA, AN and cationic monomer with the starch were prepared by the emulsion copolymerization and the grafting copolymers are excellent in dry strengthening of paper.
