Reactions of carbon dioxide with sodium and lithium borohydrides
摘要:
Sodium borohydride reacts with excess carbon dioxide in the absence of solvent at temperatures somewhat above room temperature to form a fluffy white solid which is thought to be sodium formatomethoxyborate, (NaBO(OCH 3)(O 2CH). When the temperature is lowered, and dimethyl ether is used as a solvent, the reaction product is sodium triformatoborohydride, NaHB(O 2CH) 3. Various other reactions of carbon oxides and sulphides with double hydrides are discussed.
