The nZVI supported on to the RS400 was much greater than other biochars.Carboxyl group and silicon mineral of biochar served as dual support site for nZVI.NZVI-RS400 showed the highest Cr(VI) removal due to its reduction and adsorption.The nZVI/RS400 mass ration of 4:1 appeared to give the best Cr(VI) removal amount.
