Dichloro[1,1′-bis(diphenylphosphino)ferrocene]palladium(II) was found to be an effective catalyst for the cross-coupling reaction of sec-butylmagnesium chloride with bromobenzene, β-bromostyrene, and 2-bromopropene to give the corresponding sec-butyl derivatives in exceedingly high yields.
