摘要：

Objective To discuss the cost-effectiveness of two kinds of carbapenems antibiotics(biapenem and imipenem) in treatment of severe pneumonia. Methods 80 patients with severe pneumonia treated in our hospital from September 2012 to September 2015 were selected and randomly divided into observation group and control group,each with 40 cases.Patients in the observation group were given biapenem,while pateints in the control group were given imipenem,both for 10 days.The clinical effects were assessed and treatment costs were confirmed in two groups.The cost-effectivenesses were compared. Results The overall response rates were similar in both groups,which was 92.5%in the observation group and 95.5% in the control group without significant difference(P0.05).The cost was 4797 yuan in the observation group,while it was 9630 yuan in the control group.The cost-effectiveness was lower in the observation group than in the control group(P0.05). Conclusion The clinical effects of biapenem and imipenem are favorable in treatment of severe pneumonia,and the cost-effectiveness of biapenem is lower than that of imipenem.
