摘要：
Optical sensor based on the evanescent coupling of fluorescent light in a waveguide comprises: (1) an optical waveguide on which receptor molecules are immobilised; (2) one or more excitation light sources; (3) a detector; (4) one or more lenses or filters; (5) a fluorescent dye which is bound to "other molecules" and can be stimulated to emit fluorescence photons by the excitation light; (6) one or more sample containers which are placed on the waveguide and are transparent to the excitation light, and (7) further optical waveguides for transmitting the fluorescent light to the detector.
