Synthesis and Structure of Novel Cu‐Clusters: [Cu30xSe15(PiPr3)12] (x = 0,1) and [Cu36Se18(PtBu3)12]

The catalytic conversion of isopropanol was studied using a pulse microcatalytic reactor in the temperature range 280-360-degrees-C over Pt/Silica, Ni/Silica and V/Silica catalysts. The catalytic activity and selectivity of the investigated catalysts were found to increase with the increase of reaction temperature. Formation of both propylene and acetone was found dependent of both the type and the metal contents. The formation of both propylene and acetone is governed by a first order equation of Joly and ollis. The activation energies were also calculated.
