Study of High-Density and High-Count Optical Fiber Cables

This report will present the new cables for subscriber networks in future.The thin coated 16-fiber ribbons with 180um thin coated fibers are used to achieve the high density cables.The 3 kinds of newly designed cables are manufactured in laboratory and tested to confirm that cable performance.As a result,it is verified that these cables show good cable characteristics.The fiber density will be three times at 4000-fiber cable as ordinary 1000-fiber cable structure.
